Online Data Entry Jobs

Data entry jobs can be office-based, but there are many companies that offer online data entry jobs that you can easily do from home. You may even come across companies that offer entry-level transcription jobs and call center jobs from home. Data entry jobs are suitable even without experience, but if you do have experience, you can look for online transcription or medical coding jobs.

When applying for online positions, be wary of online frauds or scams. Learn how to notice if a job opportunity is actually a fraud or scam, for example, never pay for software or kits for your online data entry jobs.

You know we promote working for yourself instead of working for others, but sometimes you just need a job. Entry-level data entry job are usually on the lower end of the pay scale which is fine because there are work from home benefits, so if you get an opportunity that’s above the market rate- run, it’s most probably a fraud or scam.

The Downsides to Data Entry

Like I said above, the pay is on the low side; it is also very competitive. But there are legit companies, and I have them listed below. Most of the opportunities hire staff as independent contractors rather than employees on a salary. That isn’t a bad thing, I’m a freelancer as a social media manager and it is the same. You just deal with your own taxes.

Legitimate Online Data Entry Jobs

AccuTran Global

AccuTran Global hire transcriptionists, even if you have limited experience- as long as you score well on their assessment applications. The company pays per word transcribed and even have bonuses for tasks that are more difficult. AccuTran Global hire from the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom.

This South Carolina based company outsources its services which include data entry, translation, transcription, online customer support, and so on. Capital Typing hire their workers as independent contractors.

Xerox

The data entry job opportunities offered by Xerox are usually location-based- so, you’d be required to physically work on side for a week before being allowed to continue with the job from home. Visit Xerox’s Careers page and type “work from home data entry” and then in the keywords box type “transaction processor” to see if they have a position available.

DataPlus +

This company offers document scanning and data entry jobs that can be done online. DataPlus+ specialize in entering data from paper into databases that are electronic. Some of the company’s clients include legal agencies and law enforcement, so before you get hired you would need to pass a background check.

Ibotta

There are occasional data entry positions available with Ibotta, but only for Colorado residents. TTEC

TTEC sometimes have data entry job opportunities, but their main focus is on phone work from home. Their positions are usually entry-level and part-time, pay starting at $10 per house. TTEC hire from specific states, so keep going back to check again to see if a job has been posted.
